We have to look at how poorly people are compensated for their work. This says Shannon has a $2000/month salary. If she works 40 hrs per week that amounts to $11.54/hr.

We have money for unprovoked "wars."

One measure of a society is how well they take care of their, poor, sick and elderly, hungry. In this case the US fails

What's more painful isnt just the hunger....but the STIGMA of hunger. Only way we get through these times is help each other...no matter how small the help.

Poverty and hunger are created by the wealthy and powerful. There are enough resources where no one needs to go without.

Hunger in America in the 21st Century is not only sad, but should offend all of us that it still exists.

People ready to complain about the salary of the CEO of Feeding America, an organization trying to help so many across the country, but NEVER, EVER, EVER complain about the subsidies and tax breaks being handed out to corporations (CEOs) and billionaires! Meanwhile, companies are applauded for barely paying a living wage/providing benefits to their workers. Always the compulsive drive to malign and crush the poor! 😢

This is where we have a major societal issue… The father of those children needs to be paying to feed his children. To care for his children. The government should be able to track him down and garnish his wages and force him to pay.. There’s all this complaining about how white young men are falling behind… You’re falling behind because you fail in your responsibilities. Until men are held 100% accountable by our society for the children that they bring into this world, they should get zero support from our society. It’s disgusting that this woman is having to raise these three children on her own with no support from the man who helped make them.

The shame attached to hunger needs to end. Salvation Army does nothing where I live. 2 local churches run the local food banks I use. I distribute food to neighbors when I return. We live in low income, not by choice. By necessity. Americans have no idea how it feels or how large the needs are. Trust me I tell no one. I just share what I have.

$2000 a month for that level of education is a joke.

I have worked my whole life never asked for help until recently. I became disabled and was told I could go to feeding America. I received one tiny bag of food, which was mostly rotten. It was so depressing. I just can’t get over how much they pay themselves absolutely deplorable.

Each time Trump says "Coke please" he should receive a glass of water, & plain bread instead of a burger
