Bold move to stand that close to a mostly blind mop with knives for hands
Anteaters are no joke. Since their sight is poor, they assume everything around them is a threat. They are very aggresive animals, and their claws are seriously nasty weapons.
Anteaters have a camouflage and funy way of walking when approaching threats, using its arm to replicate a second head. Edit:Thank you all for the almost 6k likes atleast you guys know the truth lol.
I googled pictures and it seems their fur by the legs replicate the look of a bear. Probably to ward off predators (it's a giant Anteater, there are many different variations in different regions) also, for those who are saying no creature in South America knows what a bear looks like, the Spectacled Bear lives in South America
The fact that you get so close to a Giant Anteater and not had your intestines clawed out in self-defense means you did something to earn it's trust.
Today I learned an ant eater is large enough to fuck me up, why did I think they were like pitbull sized 💀
Bro really played with a trigger happy kitchen knife💀💀💀
Ain't gonna lie I thought the animals hand was a bears head sticking it's nose in the ground for a minute.
Fun facts: They have bear-looking fur to scare their predators, in spanish this animal is called "Oso hormiguero" (Anthill bear)
They've evolved so their paws look like another head to confuse predators
I did not know anteaters could be that big
The ant eater has two arms that look like heads to scare away predators
It's ironic, that fur pattern does actually conceal razor-sharp blades too.
It’s like, “ Why did you kill my relative in Naked and Afraid Forrest?”
That’s his claws on the bottom, and one swipe from that would disembowel just about anything.
Craziest animal I ever seen was a cheerleader from back in the day. I should call her…..
In Brazil this animal is called “Tamanduá-Bandeira”. Tamanduá comes from an indian (Guaraní) word meaning “ant hunter”, and bandeira means “flag” in Portuguese.
Forrest never disappoints us🎉
fun fact: this animal is called a gaint anteater and it can and has killed people. And an anteater's hands/forelimbs look like a head to draw the attention of a jaguar to its hands equipped with large claws instead of its real head. Jaguars tend to go for head instead of the neck like other big cats. And when a jaguar goes for the anteater's fore limb thinking it is it's head, the anteater slashes the massive claws on its forelimbs on jaguar's face. Not a pretty way to go for a jaguar so an anteater is the last thing it considers to hunt in its list of prey (unless it's an experienced Jaguar who know what it's dealing with). Anyone understood now why thier head looks like a proboscis and thier forelimbs like heads? Note: edited this comment with better English. Older one was as confusing as an anteater's forelimb. (I'm taking English lessons now lol)
Had to watch this like eight times and read a bunch of comments to trust that's really an ant eater. That front leg legitimately looks like a brown bears face profile. Love what you do Forrest, you're living my dream life!
