Reminds me of the story of a factory supervisor who had a machine that failed, tying up production. He called the manufacturer of the machine in question. The mechanic looked at the problem, a stuck valve in a hydraulic line. The mechanic was an old sergeant. He took a mallet, used some dirty words, struck the valve, and the machine came back to life. Gave the supervisor his bill for $500.00. Supervisor said he wanted to see an itemized bill. Hitting the valve with the mallet, $1.00. Knowing what valve to hit $49.00. Knowing and applying the correct vulgarism, $450.00.

I'm a retired Ford Senior Master technician I always say you are getting paid for what you know.I can perform the job quick because of what I know,skill, experience.Experience is not cheap.
