In the last thirty years, cave divers in the Yucatán have revealed that the cenotes here are not isolated wells. In fact, each cenote is connected by an intricate network of caves and passageways. Amazing. I wonder if the emotion we call fear, is what' gives the fascination as well as the beauty.... Bucket listed as my 5th thing 2 do BD..
Nature’s hidden connections never stop to impress. It’s incredible how everything in the cenotes is connected, and it's also a reminder of how important it is for us as communities or tourists to protect what lies beneath the surface 🩵
Very DANGEROUS! Too many "Cave Divers" are dead.
Thanks to these people who show us this hidden wonders of earth.
It reminds me of Verne's Journey Into the Center of the Earth.
If they explore deep enough they might find Talokan!
Soon gone to the train! Thank you Mexican government!
Hey BBC Earth channel, upload more videos of Tigers, Elephants, Lions, and Crocodiles, those are good and I like them.
Stalagmites and stalactites, don't form under water. So that means this was not under water before.
It is one of my dreams to do this and hopefully this will be somehow safe by the time I’m ready to do this. I have a family so I can’t take a chance, but once my kids are older, I definitely want to do this in my retirement years.
I’ve always been fascinated by cenotes, but I had no idea they were all connected in this massive, web-like system. That completely blows my mind. The way these cave divers describe the thrill of discovery honestly reminded me of why I love watching wildlife in the first place—it’s about finding beauty and connection in the unknown. I’m really curious how the cave environments affect animal life down there. Do bats or fish live in these cave systems? And how do the ecosystems stay in balance in such dark, isolated spaces? I would love a whole follow-up video just on the animals that live in and around the cenotes!
Love these kind of videos❤
Your narration makes it special
