"Oh you have an emotional reaction to words like "blood" and "knife"? After your friend has been found dead with a knife in his chest?? Suspicious!!!"

Safety lines must be illuminated with fixed glow sticks every 10 m with arrows showing "out" and "in." Even if you become detached from the line, you have a much better chance of finding it again. At cave branches, a different colour light would be used, so divers would know if they are in the shallow or deep gallery. Then the guidance system is secure.

This is one of the most bizarre things I've ever heard of. You did an excellent job with this video. But of course, you always do an excellent job.

I've covered quite a few caving- and diving-related stories now. Here's another one in case you'd like to learn more: /watch?v=AipkNHimkds

As a tech diver with over a thousand dives and a pocket full of cards I did cave diving to Full Cave in Playa years ago. It was a personal challenge more than anything else and by far the toughest courses I had ever done. Taught me a great deal of respect for caves and also that it just wasn't for me- never been back in a cave since. Any open water dive, regardless of experience, who enters a cave system is "dancing with the devil".

1st rule in diving: You never dive alone. And that guy decided that was a good idea to dive alone, during night, in an unfamiliar cave system. I feel more sorry for the police diver who died searching for him.

I just realized that 5 minutes of him standing still was him holding the knife to his heart psyching himself to do it.

Drowning is a horrible enough death. Drowning while trapped underground in total darkness? Nightmare fuel.

As soon as I saw that photo at 1:50...Yeah that's a hard NOPE from me. I get my cave diving thrills from replaying Subnautica about once a year that's quite enough underwater terror for me.

Great vid FH. Condolences to the friends and family of Miroslav. I admire those brave divers and spelunkers who willingly enter those caves, so scary.

Thanks for sharing this sad bit interesting story. It seems that cave diving is extremely dangerous...even for experienced divers. 😒

Man, I just got done watching "Sea Fever." I don't need more horrors in the abyss right now. But wonderful video as always.
