Journey beneath Slovenia’s surface into a breathtaking world of ice, mystery, and science. In Slovenia Underground: Caves of Wonder, a team of expert cavers and scientists ventures deep into the icy chambers of Paradana, one of Central Europe’s largest and most unique ice caves. Equipped with state-of-the-art laser scanning and ground-penetrating radar, they embark on a high-stakes mission: to reveal the true volume of the cave’s ancient ice and unlock secrets buried for thousands of years. From high alpine plateaus to hidden river caves and mythical creatures like the elusive olm — the so-called “baby dragons” — this documentary explores a network of more than 14,000 caves that make Slovenia a global hub for speleology. Along the way, we uncover clues to Earth’s prehistoric climate, investigate a possible 55,000-year-old musical instrument, and confront the folklore that once branded caves as gateways to Hell. Could Slovenia’s ice caves hold the key to understanding climate change on a global scale? And what forgotten history lies frozen beneath the surface? #documentary #caves #slovenia #climatechange #underground #speleology #naturedocumentary #exploration ---- The universe is vast, much like our imagination. We were LIED TO ABOUT OUR TRUE ANCESTRAL HISTORY. Wasn't as Moses said that Noah and his family alone survived the Great Floods. Many other Civilization hide in Caves around the world. Same as Noah and his family, they weren't on any Ark. A Major Discovery is on the verge of being discovered, and this time, the Europeans will not be able to debunked its significance.
and that melting and refreezing has happened hundreds, perhaps thousands of times over 'milions' of years. ANd we've been recording this process for how long? 200 years? We are so smart and know precise;y how horrible humans are and how much damage we've caused. ;)
climate change narrative is heavy with this vid. Bunch of that false religious crap. But if you can see/hear past that, enjoyable.
😮
Did these guys forget that the cave was used for harvesting/collecting Ice for many?
I was mentally tortured and conditioned by the, "Berenstain Bears" due to my children's ongoing obsession for the show. Here's proof... "🎶Stalactites, Stalagmites... Caves have always GOT 'EM... the Tites are on tha top..... and tha mites are on THA BOTTEM! 🎶 😂 No less than 55 million times, over the course of my lifetime. But, hey? I'll never forget the location of the Tites & Mites.🤪
Makes you wonder if the removal of ice for use as commercial product is what has started or accelerated the 5-25 % reduction of ice 49:36
man just refuses to admit that they took out so much ice, probably made the cave warmer than it was. How much was mined...
Looks like an axcelotl without eyes....
That seems like a horrible idea….
there is a plot twist. this ice is not old because it was cut out every year and used in big cities. that was before invention if cooling.
39:12 that's a young dragon jaw. Maybe like 8 months old. Must've got caught there while a process was happening to cover their existence up from humanity.
Apparently those are actually ice dragons and you're supposed to incubate them in ice eggs.
15:09 y'all realize that's a cavern covered in gold, right?
That ice must be keeping the gold cold y'all. You know 24k gold melts right?
Benjamin Sesko is coming to Manchester United
What a nice documentary and am glad that our country with ice caves can help in study of global warming. 🇸🇮
wow, This cave is really powerful
Eastern Europe a few kilometers from Italy... Oh, and the Slovenian eKataster Cave Database lists 15.844 caves. Postojna caves are not in UNESCO, Škocjan caves are.
From how much ice has the cave lost? to "probably the most important ice cave in the world!!" 😮😊😊
