Imagine being one of these kids and they say 'right we're going to put you to sleep and hopefully you'll wake up outside the cave' imagine the fear thinking this is it. I'm not waking up. God bless everyone who contributed to this rescue effort. True heroes.

"If you can do something for somebody else's child I'm sure you would too." Powerful message. ❤

I almost died while cave diving in Borneo. What these brave selfless people accomplished in Thailand is a miracle of human achievement, bravery and kindness.

The movie 13 Lives is about this. Maybe the most underrated film I’ve ever seen. I watched with headphones on and it was so intense.

stuff like this never fails to make me tear up. none of these people even knew any of these boys, but a lot of them risked their lives to save them. humans man.

I finally found a reason for the stupidity of cave diving... When innocent unknowing people get themselves trapped, their knowledge is needed

Reminder that elon musk flew to Thailand with a submarine and demanded it be used to save the kids. When the British diver told him it was too big, musk freaked out and called him a pdf file. The British guy sued him and musk won because he claimed that that’s just a thing South Africans say (it’s not)

"Many people are coming." It just struck me. These kids were stuck there, in the dark, scared and hungry, unsure if anyone will ever find them or if they'll ever get out. They had absolutely no idea that an absolute force of people was working tirelessly to rescue them and that the entire world was holding its breath and praying for their safety.

Being sedated, hands tied behind your back and pulled through a underwater cave system that someone had already died in has got to be the scariest thing ever.. what an insane story this was

The three expert divers should have been given the Nobel prize for service to humanity. I am only a naturalised citizen of the UK but feel immensely proud.

I remember watching all this when it happened and they initially denied using ketamine bc of the ethical and legal concerns . But eventually they admitted they used it and one of the conditions the doctor stipulated was no liability should anything happen which is totally understandable. It was a huge risk but a necessary one as one moment of panic could jeopardize both the child and rescuers lives. Being guided through claustrophobic tunnels underwater with no diving experience I think most of us would want to be knocked out too. Let alone a child who had already been through two weeks of malnourishment and fear enough to last a lifetime. Amazing rescue. They are true heroes!!

Those Thai navy seals that died and British divers that rescued those boys are incredible human beings. The best examples of bravery, sacrifice, skill and perseverance.
