Hello everyone and welcome back to Scary Interesting. In this video, we’re going to go over two extremely strange dive sites. These locations are unlike any covered on the channel before, and they each have several disturbing incidents adding to their already creepy reputation. As always viewer discretion is advised. 1. I'm absolutely terrified of cave diving. 2. I see a new cave diving video. I click.
A 13ft long man-eating catfish is absolutely terrifying. Perhaps that is the real reason the others died. Stuff of Hollywood horror movies.
I’m glad I’m watching this from the comfort of my living room, far from a flooded cave.
Where back to the cave diving chat
Its amazing that divers see a 1.3 foot wide hole for the very first time and dont call it the end of the cave/passage. Makes me wonder what is the limit for some of them. Wild
Divers: "Damn government! They keep restricting us from diving in Lake IMurderDivers!"
I think it's ignorant some people think catfish will not attack humans. Its recorded. And just the sight of a 13ft catfish would make me die of fear especially if I was just bobbing in the dark water with it. I saw a sturgeon one time while swimming in a relatively clear river, scared the bejesus out of me.
Cave diving is one of the things I won't ever dare to try in my lifetime.
19:04 I think the fact that you might be dragged down by a 4 metre fish very much counts as a Devil's Table problem.
My dad was a marine research biologist with decades of open water scuba diving. He said he had one dive he thought he was going to die. He claimed he had dived there over 50 times and never had any current or waves that affected him but a rouge wave synced perfectly with the tide and pushed him into the cliff that he was diving on. He got tangled in the kelps and rocks and had to drop everything but his suit. Down to the weight belt even to get free of the floating kelp bed. He said it was terrifying to leave your air behind knowing you only had one way to live. He dove again but that incident really messed with him.
That diving hole is beautiful, no wonder they built around it.
Being attacked by a 13ft catfish is the most random way anyone has almost died
"a giant catfish" NOPE. I'M OUT. Couldn't get me anywhere near those waters. No, sir. Nuh uh.
My scuba diving instructor Luke Boissoneau almost died while diving in a cave, he managed to swim without his tank and miraculously found an unknown hole (cenote) that opens in the middle of the jungle, his friend was not so lucky. The hole was later named Luke's Hope.
People died, restrict diving! Oh... a little bit of time has gone by... permit diving! Oh shit more people died, restrict diving! Hey, it's been a while since people died, permit diving! Etc etc etc.
The cave diving videos are what got me hooked on this channel. The music, narration, visuals and diagrams all scratch my brain in exactly the right way. This is perfect content, Sean. Never change a thing!
To be pedantic: Lake Constance is not in Germany near the borders to Switzerland and Austria. It IS the border. Some parts of the lake belong to each country and the border is somewhere in the middle of the lake but not fully defined which is why all three countries have a water rescue team on the lake and depending on where you have the emergency a different country is responsible for you or all three if there is uncertainty about the location or if the emergency is bigger. It's actually a quite interesting mess since the lake also is part of several German states and Swiss cantons and each has different rules. For example in the part that Bavaria (a German state) is responsible for diving is completely forbidden. But Devil's table is in another German state.
It's such a contrast that we were abke to get to the moon and back, but haven't been able to go deeper into that underwater cave in France.
Thank you so much for not using AI generated content in your videos! I see so many horror channels using it now and no one seems to care. It's so gross and I'm sure lots of people really appreciate the extra work you put into getting real images of real things taken by real people. EDIT: I was wrong for trusting the tag at the beginning. As pointed out by flamefromHalo this channel does use AI generated content in the thumbnails of other videos. I don't know about the narration, I'm not good at discerning that kind of thing, but I wouldn't put it past someone who uses AI thumbnails and blatantly lies about it. Absolutely horrible behavior, if you don't support the use of AI in art don't watch this channel!
Finally a story channel thats not 90% AI
