Great work on the rear mounts for the front subframe! I’ve been planning on spacers for the subframes on my E83, but wasn’t quite sure how I was gonna address the rear of the front subframe because of the angle. Your solution is brilliant! Any chance you’d be willing to sell a set of the cut plates, or even just the dxf file so I can have them cut locally? Also, you planning on spacing the rear trailing arm mounts as well?

Superb effort Ben. Amazing what can be achieved with some excellent design. If you want what other people don't have, you have to be prepared to do what other people won't do. Never a truer word spoken. I've had my X3 about 15years. It's an 07 3.0d. A bit like triggers broom now I've done loads to it inc head rebuild after a snapped cam chain. Keep up the good work. Did you manage to find a solution to coilovers yet? D2 Coilovers seem to be the only people currently selling a kit for the E46 iX models, which I think are the only e46 shocks that stand a chance of fitting e83's without interfering with the front driveshafts. Pricey at 1300euro, but on the plus side they are available on back order and are on "discount" from 1740euro 😅 I guess the only way to check if they will fit on the cheap is to source a used OEM iX shocker from mainland Europe, since e46 iX was never UK sold
Loved this video, first time stumbling across your channel With the subframe now being lower, the lower arms have further to reach meaning as they are, the knuckle and hub will sit further inwards, have you come up with a plan for this?
