Episode 29 - Just days after snapping our trailer axle and getting stranded in the Mongolian wilderness, we’re back, this time tackling the same mountain pass we'd attempted before with our friends Sarah and Wouter. In this episode, we take on one of Mongolia’s wildest off-road routes in an INEOS Grenadier and a Toyota Land Cruiser Troopy. Expect river crossings, rocky climbs, deep mud, boggy swamps, and endless route choices through one of the most remote landscapes on Earth. With thunderstorms rolling in, one wrong decision could turn the trail into an impassable quagmire and leave us stuck all over again. Always following your channel closely... as a half a century old man, that travelled 43 countries in a 4x4 myself... most of the times, completely alone and without any internet or phone connection 😅... Imagine I broke an axle back then, in the middle of nowhere, where maybe 1 car passes in 1 month 😂😮 Had to fix my 4x4 at some times, literally with sticks and stones, but loved every second of this life and only the thought that I was more alive than the 99% of NPC's that are stuck in their daily cycle kept me going ❤ After this adventure life, I started many businesses and became pretty wealthy, but never felt really happy... Long story short: I threw all material stuff away or gave away, having in every room the biggest tv someone has ever seen, but didn't turn them on for years, closet full of super expensive clothes and didn't wear any in a decade.. Made the decision: 2027, I leave everything behind, sell all and travel in my 4x4 the rest of the 150 something countries ❤😊 So, enjoy every good and bad day of your adventures and God bless you 🙏🏻 ❤

I forgot to mention: That Troopy... must have the shittiest tires possible 😳🙈 Tires are the nr.1 most important thing to go on a 4x4 adventure! The one thing to not save money on! Secondly: A lot of times, I see in the videos, in sticky situations, that not all 4 wheels are turning (at the same speed), on both of the cars...? The Grenadier can be fully locked (all 3 locks), I suppose? 😮 So all 4 wheels should turn at the same rate. The Troopy has a lot of times only front or rear seperate turning, so doesn't have center lock? And don't be afraid to airing tires down... like, really down! Only this and momentum helps in 90% of cases 🎉 Ps: I don't want to sound like a smartass over here, just sharing experiences to help out the 4x4 family to make it easier ❤😉
Wouter's Troopy needs better tires and a locker. Add those, and it'll make a world of difference for its capability, especially in terrain like this. Thanks for sharing. The experience looks amazing. Can't wait to see more of the Grenadier.

Can't imagine you folks getting through all that with the trailer in tow, so perhaps "bad luck" sometimes happens for a reason? Good thing the Troopy had a winch and that the two cars were travelling together through this patch! And finally, well done Ineos. The Grenadier did exceptional well through some pretty awful muck. 👏

Even though I was holding my breath and on the edge of my chair trying to help you along through the muddy areas, I still noticed and am in awe of the beauty that was all around you! The lake there is just so lovely and the drone scenes with the mountains in the background are breathtaking! You are seeing some wonderful places in this world and it makes me realize what a big world it is. The flowers looked like lupine...maybe they are related to the lupine we have in the Rocky Mtns.? I look forward to your next chapter and how you reunite with your trailer once again.
