this scenario is why i avoid pos 2 99% of the time, pos 1 or 3 almost completely prevent the glass incident as the cars tyres would pick up or scatter it.

When you go over anything sus, always best to pull over and check tyres ASAP and brush off anything sharp, wipe off anything oily. No sense taking risks with a bike. It's also why I usually carry plugs and a basic pump. You can get it to fit in the space under the seat usually.
