Thanks for sharing. My daughter is a ball playing centre back who is now being moved into a CDM role more frequently because she's got the knack of winning the ball and finding the next pass. Showing her the bit about being a number 6 helped her realise that she's doing a really important role on the pitch.

In my country 11vs11 football was only for professional level. I was not that talented to be in a pro academy, so my whole life i have been playing only futsal. But now, i chose to study university in europe(italy). Recently i found out that there are a lot of amateur 11v11 football leagues. I have joined one of the local teams where i am now, and finally started playing a normal football. It was an amazing feeling but hard at the moment, because i totally did not understand anything about big football: how to move, where to pass, what to do and literally everything😂. Here i started watching your videos about positions to understand what should i do ( i play no. 8 btw) and it is really helping me to understand this 11v11 football and roles of every position. How you break down everything is just masterpiece, you do it so easy and understandable. Im improving great as a player by watching your videos. Thank you❤️🩹

Football is a simple game. Defend your goal. Score against the opposition. I can understand rigidity at the back. I can't understand the same in midfield and attack. Sir Alex dismantled teams with a strong defence (allowing the defenders and defensive midfielder to protect the goal) and the wingbacks, wingers and strikers to play their game and attack with freedom. He also played a high press but because the quality was high, the defending team didn't dare come out of their area... This would lead to countless chances created and sooner or later teams buckling under the constant barrage of crosses and shots on goal.

Great tactical video!!! It's weird to see how much football seems to be moving closer to the triangle offence in basketball but that's what it looks like. As a basketball fan i love watching football broken down like this.
