Slot has somehow managed to create a side that -can't break down a low block when trailing or tied late in games -can't defend in a low block when leading -doesn't press high like Klopp teams but always leave space in behind -are not dangerous on counters like Klopp because they always slow down the attack

basicly salah not tracking back like gakpo made the first half easy for city since they had free overload on that side

No one pressing Rodri tells you everything about Slot's tactics

Guehi really helped City in this game plus Liverpool were playing like a championship team after their goal and city started to control the game and won by determination

The true tactical battle was the envelope sent to PGMOL.

I saw Rodri on the ball alot in a lot of space he was allowed to to walk around and do splitting passes. I think I would have someone man marking him if that was happening because if he can't do that then bernado Silva has to drop deeper. I would then put someone into those spaces this I think would be really difficult to counter against.

First half was vintage City just without a goal. Shows you the direction City are heading in. Haaland pls pls take your chances. Defenders know you are a goal machine so it's double marking. 3rd goal should have been allowed. Not sure why they drop off in 2nd half- must be a fatigue thing however City played with character. Well deserved.

Disagree that Kerkez was inverting- rather, he was man marking a very narrow semenyo OOP and ended up infield IP as a result

For the first in Citypool era Liverpool look so weak tactically. Arne Slot can never replace Klopp to challege Peps tactics . Liverpool are lucky to even score to be honest that too by a free kick. There is no where near prime City and prime Liverpool era. And from Liverpool point of view they were weak in terms of Game plan.

Im pretty sure it was a diamond midfield with bernardo at the top and rodri at the bottom with semenyo and o reilly on other sides. Semenyo was not wide at all bro.
