Programming can be replaced. Developers can not because there are architectural and structure but also a level of creativity needed.

Facts. LLMs also mess up big time unless you have the technical knowledge to guide them properly. Some still think it's fine to just offload and copy-pasting your way out of problems...

Depends on software. SImple landing page can be done in few hours now. But ecommerce shop that has many users and scales is a different story. And then there are some services that serve hundreds of thousands of users. Or maybe you do some lowcode stuff? Basically for anything more then landing page AI will not replace anyone but it will help and boost a single dev. So now you do not need a whole team, you need 1-2 devs.

I've already cried. I've already thought about options for finding jobs in other sectors. I've already imagined a thousand bad things. Yes, I agree 100% that we shouldn't take AI seriously. But at the same time, we're losing our jobs. And they're treating IT professionals like robots that can be thrown in a landfill. I'm feeling terrible, especially because I was fired after a burnout. I worked hard and gave my best, but even so, I was treated as if I were worthless. This has really left me vulnerable and I'm very tired. Especially because I can't explain to my family what's happening. I see my family giving me advice, without understanding anything about the field, and I only get more frustrated. I'm trying to study to stay calm. But this whole situation is awful. I feel like we're living in a world where dogs are worth more than some people. I feel like a subspecies.

Same in CAD. I apply and enjoy the assist, but it still requires the touch. Like saying an artist, painters for example will be "replaced because AI can make it perfect and immediately".... they don't understand that the imperfections are what make it perfect.
