I think this is pretty straightforward and a pretty normal feeling just interpreted differently. I suspect she wants less pressure/anxiety from life's responsibilities. She is will to surrender control of her life for good treatment and security. Those are very common feelings because people often feel powerless and stressed so often and it be nice to lose some of the responsibilities we have and it not be "our fault."
