Linus uses the same desk speakers from 2011
The pattern I'm noticing is that both Linus and Elijah don't want to spend any time doing their own thinking, they immediately default to asking AI for a direct answer (or pre-written ones on forums online) rather than reading and trying to understand (and learn about) what's right in front of them. Ironically, if they slowed down and bothered to pay attention to what they were actually doing they would've gotten all of these quite easily. I mean, fair enough if they're not this tech savvy, but trying to take shortcuts will only make things more painful AND confusing. Like yeah, no shit things are gonna be annoying if when a button doesn't immediately do what you want it to do you give up on the entire program and look for an alternative online. I'm only saying this because I think this is a problem most people seem to have nowadays (even outside of technology). We're only getting lazier and stupider with AI, expecting everything to be spoonfed to us and it's really concerning.
Am I the only one that is missing a sort of conclusion part at the end? It was the same with the recent self-driving video
KDE Connect is a valid choice. Using wires to transfer files from your phone is caveman behavior.
In a video, where you talk about linux, the sponsor is an app, that isn't available on linux...
I love these videos so much. You ran through every single issue I have seen myself since I ditched Windows in 2018. So to me those tasks are kinda "easy" (I still get nervy when I have to edit partitions and mount shit... Somehow this logic is lost on me) And I have troubleshot soooooo many stupid errors in my time already. But I am, by no means, an expert. But love to see how far you guys have come and how far I have.
this vid is making me want to help them sooooo badly
Yeahhhh. Luke on Arc Raiders!!
Nice video, always good to watch Linux videos. Thank you.
This was eye opening as a Linux Mint user regarding other distros. On mint you just right click on the drive and select format from the menu. Simples!

in other news... my butt reeeally stanks today. 💩🤢💯
Wow rich guy needs a haircut. Yvonne he's shaggy again, line him up, nice front to back fade. 💯
Watching Linus use terminal commands is a clear demonstration that he is taking this challenge seriously, and genuinely learning shhhhhsomething -- this time.
One of my gripes with the Linux experience is that if something is preinstalled I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND IT BY ONLY SEARCHING ITS FUNCTION, like if I want to edit a video and there's an editor already installed, have an alias in search calling it "video editor" or "clips" or I'm not gonna freaking know it's there lmao It's not just a Linux thing tbh, but it's very common to get the "oh you should already know there's Skurk preinstalled in this distro to export videos" lol
MBR/GPT section... Oof. :D
I like how Elijah already had kde connect setup, so remotely controlling his pc was already done he just didn't know 😂
Very good and realistic video of the fun of using linux for the first time. So many new and powerful tools
Love the massive picture in the background of Elijah's webcam
I find it interesting that the stuff I do with my linux machines Elijah somehow stumbled upon and sort of got around. I was expecting Luke to do those more. Also love Luke's supesu wallpaper.
