However, with so many varieties available to buy, which is the best when it comes to going off-road? Well, to find out, we’ve got our hands on three varieties. We’ve got the FJ Cruiser with its lightweight chassis (based on the same platform as the 150 Prado), the heavy-duty Land Cruiser 70 with its large load bed, and the station-wagon Land Cruiser 80. In terms of performance, the three cars are relatively matched. The FJ Cruiser is powered by a 4-litre V6 petrol that puts down 272hp and 380Nm, the Land Cruiser 70 has a 4.5-litre V8 diesel with 255hp and 568Nm, while the Land Cruiser 80 has a 4.2-litre straight-six diesel with 250hp and 600Nm. In terms of off-roading capabilities, all three cars have been lifted, are fitted with proper off-road tyres, and have several mods to help them adapt to some of the more extreme challenges on this off-road course. Love these videos but honestly these 'challengers' like trying to go as fast as possible off road is just flat out dangerous and stupid in the real world, and a sure way to break something. The 80 series was easily the best just watching the ease it did everything. Also it would help if you mentioned if they were in low range, again to help people (who may not know) and if rear diff lockers were used, only Matt mentioned it once. More slow, off roading would be better (without Graham guiding them into a rock)!

Man, y'all really brought out the big guns for this one. The FJ is fun, but that 80 series is a straight-up tank and you just can't beat the grit of a 70 series. My money's on the 80 to take it all, but this is gonna be a blast to watch.
