Make universal plug for all shit you ever plug to the computer, so you never know what you plugged where. Brilliant. I hate USB C. Different shapes have different meanings. Stop replacing everything with USB C!

When I make USB C powered PCBs I just slap a resistor to set the current. No chip needed, it just can't negotiate.

Do shady manufacturers ever just lie about the bandwidth the cables are capable of? Like put an emarker from a 40gb cable and put it in a 10gb cable?
