"The companies building these datacenters almost always promise that they'll use renewarables or nuclear when they announce their projects" we need a severre expansion of promissory estoppel rights. If these datacenters were approved, or not protested, because of false promises, that should be legal fuel to recover all + punitive damages.

This is really great PBS! I'm not looking forward to telling my children that America chose data centers over clean air and water.
Non disclosures should be illegal for these data centers.
Public officials should not be able to sign NDAs with private firms. Period.
The next big industry will be data center tear downs when they realize it was a waste of money in the first place.

nobody wants these data centers. nobody wants to have Ai shoved down their throats or to have to use it on a daily basis.
It is disgusting that they sacrifice the people who live around these data centers for the ones who use AI. This should make us all shut off AI and not purposely use it if we can where we can. And it's disgusting Google is running Gemini AI ads as you watch this video. 🤬
