guess we're not buying computers anymore...

Tech

Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! This time we take a look at probably the largest jump in price for anything gaming and it's on a device I've recommended for years. The Steam Deck is truly one of my favourite gaming devices and sadly because of AI companies this device has been priced so high I can't recommend it anymore. Thanks for watching! The funny thing is that, beforehand, everyone was attacking Nintendo and badmouthing them. Now—faced with such a significant price difference—people suddenly get it. Strange. Nintendo even apologized and is offering bundles where you can choose a game of your choice, as well as offering newer titles for $50 and $60. Now, for the first time, you can really see what a great job Nintendo is doing to keep the price so low—complete with a docking station and controller options.

Chip manufacturers will regret making themselves into an enemy of the average man.

You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would maintain your prices, not raise them! Bring balance to the handheld market, not leave it in darkness!

Do these companies forget that for an economy to exist the money has to flow BOTH WAYS?

Every company wants you to own nothing and be happy The solution is to STOP ALL rental and subscription services

Knowing valve, they were most likely obliged to do this because to the escalating expense of everything semiconductor-related. Funny how AI businesses want consumers to utilize their services while also pushing the price of all technology to increase

I have been on my GTX1060 3GB for the last 10 years or so and only in the past few years have I hit a wall where I haven't been able to play certain games. If you have 5090 or 4090 right now, I imagine they will last for about the same or maybe longer.

DO NOT let these mofos bait you into 'cloud gaming' and 'PC as a service'! They bought all that HW now they need to make money out of it.

I literally started waiting for restocks right before this happened. I couldn't be more disappointed. Looks like I'll just be getting my steam controller and some games.
