I took that advice... and maybe went a bit too far. Instead of just fixing the trams, I built a massive dry port, an air cargo terminal, and a "metro-fied" train line running straight to the airport terminal. Is it expensive? Absolutely. Realistic? Debatable. Cool? Very. ------------------------------------------------------------ MY CURRENT SAVES & MOD LISTS ► Magnolia County Save: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/MagnoliaCountySave ► Magnolia County Playset: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/MagnoliaCountyPlayset ► Segunda Beach Save: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/SegundaBeachSave ► Segunda Beach Playset: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/SegundaBeachPlayset ► Banff Playset: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/BanffPlayset ► Banff Save: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/BanffSave ------------------------------------------------------------ FIND ME HERE ► Use Master Planned Music in YOUR videos and streams: http://MasterPlannedMusic.com ► Twitch: http://twitch.tv/cityplannerplays ► Website: http://CityPlannerPlays.com ► Discord: https://discord.gg/CityPlannerPlays ► Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/cityplannerplays.bsky.social ------------------------------------------------------------ SUPPORT THE CHANNEL, GET COOL PERKS! ► Merch Store: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/Store ► Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/CityPlannerPlays ► YT Membership: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/YTMembership ------------------------------------------------------------ MUSIC FROM THE VIDEOS ► Master Planned Music: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/MPM ► Approaching Nirvana: http://youtube.com/@approachingnirvana ► Epidemic Sound: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/Epidemic ------------------------------------------------------------ MY GEAR ► Kit.co Link https://kit.co/cityplannerplays ------------------------------------------------------------ EDITORS ► Lead Editor: @1C2yt ► Assistant Editor: @CityPlannerPlays ------------------------------------------------------------ PLAYLISTS ► Ultimate Beginners Guide to CS2: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/BeginnersGuide2 ► Ultimate Beginners Guide: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/BeginnersGuide ► Cities Skylines II: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/CS2 ► Tutorials: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/Tutorials ► Nicolet Bay: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/NicoletBay ► Verde Beach: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/VerdeBeach ► Clearwater County: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/ClearwaterCounty ► Abandoned City Fix: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/AbandonedCity ►Abandoned City – Bluffside Crossing: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/AbandonedCity2 ► Sustainable City: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/SustainableCity ► Bluffside Crossing: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/Bluffside ► City Tips: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/CityTips ► Previous Live Streams: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/Streams ► Timberborn: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/Timberborn ► Other Games: https://link.cityplannerplays.com/OtherGames ------------------------------------------------------------ HASHTAGS #CitiesSkylines2 #cityplannerplays ------------------------------------------------------------ CHAPTERS

The height of realism. Spending a ton of tax dollars on a huge project, to scrap it and spend a ton of tax dollars on another huge project!
Tbh, I never really mind the mulligans. Half of playing CS is changing something after you do it. As a casual/journeyman player, it's kinda nice to see it on camera and here why you don't like it... As opposed to seeing something perfect that you planned for hours.
"they've even used the line tool" 😂
The new changes are great, but i feel like a shuttle bus between the terminal rental car stop, and hotels would be super important. Also, it feels strange that the McDonalds has no walking access to people staying at the hotel next door, its a missed opportunity.
Having a diesel train at an underground station would necessitate expensive high end ventilation to prevent the fumes making the air down there toxic, and it would probably be cheaper to just electrify that connection if it was being built as new construction along with the airport.
This New Banff adventure is 100% keeping me away from my actual job...stop releasing such addictive content!!
30:28 you did not add cargo air lines
I suspect the main feedback will be the separate passenger rail tunnel into the airport when there’s an existing rail connection but let’s pretend a rich donor from Calgary was tired of waiting on the train and donated to the project!
Well, that escalated quickly! Hopefully this is an improvement. Also, huge shout out to Incogni for sponsoring! Head to /cityplanner to save 60% off a plan!
This episode was unrail!
11:30 so far and i'm itching! You had a highway that was on lower elevation than the train tracks - and instead of tunneling underneath it, probably only having to drop maybe 3-4 meters, you build a giant bridge and had to raise the elevation by like 20-30 meters with dozens of truckloads of dirt being pushed around to create enormous pads to facilitate a 4+% grade leading up to that bridge e: 26:15 now and now you are also forced to raise that commuter rail line much higher than you would need to if that highway wasnt 30 meters in the air
I love this new build but I think the truckers and workers for both the dry dock and Canadian Tire warehouse workers a place to get food, fuel, and wait that doesn't have them driving over the freeway to get to. Especially if banff expands industries more. Also I think it would be funny to see an Amazon hub in that area
4:09 you don't owe anyone anything, you owe only yourself to have fun 🎉
I''m sure some people might argue this is over-engineered, but in a community this small that wants preserve nature and focus on tourism this is a worthy investment. I would only add a shuttle around the airport district connecting the airpot, the hotels, parking, etc. and one from New Banff to the dry port for the workers
I like the idea of the train connection, BUT why didn't you use the cargo track going up hill already and just branch of right before the cargo airport? The tunnel and the bridge for the new connection must have been expensive!
I like the mulligans! It feels more like you're a normal player like the rest of us.
I used to look forward to Wednesday because it’s humpday, now I look forward to Tuesdays because it’s New Banff day!!
34:12 "and juiced the amount of money were making" I hate to break it to you, but that is 1/7 of what you were making before 😂😂
For the Dry port, it would be good to add like, a vehicle/maintenance garage for the cargo forklifts, and maybe a small office where the workers could take a lunch break/bathroom break and where all the paper work and stuff would be handled.
Great build. As a former Intermodal truck driver that went to rail yards on a daily basis, a interstate access point nearby would be very necessary, not only to allow for ease of access for the freight traffic but also to pull that traffic away from your residential and tourist road network.
