I am loving how a lot of the hermits are showing more of the process like the creative tests and mods, rather than just showing the finished product! Ive always thought this way is much more satisfying, plus showing more of the process probably means its easier to do enough stuff for a video in a shorter time. Personally I’d definitely keep watching all the videos if they were slower paced and more regular and show more process cus im really enjoying it!

Definitely agree on the "too much moss" part, it's really saturated and warm compared to the ambience that mega taigas are generally meant to have imo

16:43 you should add in some understory trees. A lot of forrest’s will have smaller trees that don’t need as much sunlight and sit underneath the main canopy. This can help with creating a more foresty feel

Suggestion: put some ferns in the forest. Feel like its such a forgotten block that adds so much and is perfect for what you are going for. Another thing I was thinking about was that you should put some more empty branches lower on the trees. especially if the forest will become thicker. As less sunlight reaches those parts, spruce trees put less energy in those areas so many of the lower branches become empty. It will also give that high canopy feel when you are inside the forest.

17:03 That's why you should be able to ride the smaller happy ghast, one person capacity, and it's faster, it makes sense with the golden dandelion being added. It actually makes keeping a mob young useful for something other than aesthetics.

18:35 another major reason why a lot of stuff doesn’t grow under big coniferous trees specifically is because they drop their needles and the needles make the soil more acidic, and most plants don’t like acidic soils. Exceptions are members of the Ericaceae family which include blueberries. So if you have a coniferous tree in your yard that nothing will grow under, consider planting blueberries! Ferns also grow well

It constantly impresses me how much of an ARTIST scar is when he was talking about how he plans out trees. It's so cool seeing the other Hermits sharing their strengths and helping everyone grow. This base is already so cool and gonna keep looking *more cooler*.

One of my favourite parts of hermitcraft is watching the ways that the hermits manage to meld their bases together, especially with wildly clashing themes like this one. The tree wall is a hilarious solution! There is one thought nagging my mind though. Gems dark fantasy evil edgy dragon people, Joels rainbow whimsy hiding a rotten authoritarian core, meeting in a clash of aesthetics. I cant help but imagine the clash literally, the border as a battlefield, gems half packed with catapults and siege engines and red-clad armour stand warriors, fighting against an army of absurd rainbow contraptions

You should add a groundskeeper lodge near the forest and add some lanterns nearby to make it look like the groundskeeper likes to go in the forest every now and again. That way you can have some lighting while still having the dark and mysterious atmosphere

I would talk to Joel, he has lots of leaf litter that he wants to get rid of
