Man I still remember being like 10 and watching e3 and seeing destiny revealed for the first time. All I would do is watch YouTube videos on peoples theories and leaks for it. If they remastered it or made a destiny classic I would’ve played the shit out of that. So sad the leadership at Sony is so clueless

I haven't watched this yet but as someone who tried to be a new player, saw the potential, but left because of the backyards new player experience and missing campaigns, I fear this game was always doomed to fail as the original players slowly fell off. Edit:: best thing about trying destiny was finding Cross, who i continue to watch despite never playing lol

It's clear to see that if you can't make a sequel with a game that was consistently in the top 15/20 most played games of the year for about 10 years the game industry has a problem. Costs are out of control.

If D2 did not sunset the majority of the game, maybe the younger gens could get into it. New player onbording is horrible.

When Jason Schreier broke the news on that DEVELOPMENT HELLHOLE that was Bioware making Mass Effect: Andromeda, that's when I knew I could trust his journalism. And ever since, he has sustained a respectable track record: maybe it ain't news we wanna hear, but the guy's credibility is undisputed. So, yeah - mad respect for the guy.

IMO Bungie should have preempted everyone that Final Shape was the end of new content and that after it would become a revival period where they steadily worked on bringing all cut content vaulted back into the game. Satisfying ending for the community, rebuilding trust, reexperiencing old content, fresh on boarding for new players, then by the end Bungie has a complete D2 experience that is evergreen because it can be played start to finish anytime.
