Definitely Pongas was worse because he went in with intent straight to the head. Suaalii went to wrap and Walsh ducked down at the last second. Plus blues players donโt play to hurt anyone and QLD are quite mean spirited and care more about hurting people than playing a fair contest.
You have shown both incidents from the wrong camera angle. If you had shown Suaali'i's one, with camera from his left shoulder, you see that Suaali'i never comes into contact with Walsh's head. And if you had shown Ponga's one, from the view behind Tolutau's back. You clearly see that Ponga collected Tolutau with his shoulder. At the same time as heads clashed. So, Suaali'i shouldn't have been sent. While Ponga's, Klein made the correct call.
Ponga was in a bad situation but the sent off is real to the law of the game. Congrats NSW.
Both are similarly the same thing...๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ... There's no difference.๐
Ponga's feet planted and head collision, Suaalii's feet of the ground and all shoulder to a head of a player planting their feet, no comparison
Looks like the Blues Number 5 hit Queensland number 7 in the mouth before Ponga was involved. An attempted fend off made direct contact with the head. If they want to get picky, I say let them play and bring back the Biff.
All Ponga had to do was wrap his arm and it would've only been a sin bin, if that. But when you lead with the shoulder you can't complain about the outcome.
Robbed
They're both just as bad as each other. Off you both go. Completely the right decision from the officials.
One was a deliberate shoulder to the head. One was a head clash. Ponga shouldn't of been sent. So is every head clash gonna get sent off now or what.
seeing em back to back like this makes you realise they were pretty like for like. Both falling/slipping players, Sualli hit higher, which upon reflection was why I though it was worse, but he was trying to wrap his arms and perform a legitimate tackle. Ponga's was lower and more head on head contact, but braced his arm and just threw his shoulder upwards, both immediately KO'ing the other player.
Suali'is one was waaaaaayyy better lol
He's clearly leading with he shoulder, I don't know why this is controversial
Pre 2000 fair play. Play for both of them
One 4 weeks ban, another just a fine? Lol
Both incidents are unavoidable in the moment. Reece was falling below waist height when he was tackled high, if Reece stayed upright, the tackle would've been legal.. the other bro was just unfortunate.. no malicious intent
The injured player would have passed his hia accept they had already sent ponga off. So the corrupt nrl officials would could not let him pass his assessment.
So did Joey John's think that Walsh's was a send off ?
Neither were send off offences.
Exactly both are send offs if we care about protecting players from severe injuries.. It is only QLD that complains & crys, yet they have dominated origon because their lives depend on it.. ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐ป๐ป good vs spoilt, I choose BLUE ๐
