Fact is, we were getting smashed by QLD until the ref did us a favour by sending off Ponga. The blessed escape, not the great escape. We are in trouble. QLD will win the series 2-1 based on how we played. We only just won the game against 12 men. 😢😢

I mean the nsw send off 2 years ago was 7 min in the game this one there was around 20 min to go Also his intent ponga was to shoulder charge not knock him out but duty of care he shouldve known it could have gone wrong Also to be fair nsw were poor 1st 30 min last 10 min of first half qld weren't great Also first 20 min of second half nsw already had momentum before the send off

Weird spot for me as a NSW fan but also a diehard knights supporter with the KP send off. In real time I thought a sin bin was sufficient enough, I was genuinely surprised he was sent off. The fact he isn’t missing any games for the knights and only received a fine indicates I think the send off was harsh. No debate whatsoever it saved NSW even though as a blues fan I was happy to get the win

Did we watch the same game? Hes acting as if NSW came on from second half and totally switched their game around. For the first 20 minutes of the second half they still couldnt complete, errors still occurred and they were still struggling to get out of their own half. The argument here isnt about if its a send off or not, its about whether this win was determined a "excellent" performance from NSW. In my opinion I dont think so. In those 20 minutes with 13v12 they struggled to even get 2 tries. More errors occurred and it took the very last minute to secure the win off a kick. Had Ponga not been sent off (yes anything can happen) but the reality is, is that NSW was outperformed and the momentum of the game was clearly in QLD favor.

Ready for once i agree totally. It was the ultimate square up. We all sighed when Klien was made ref... and for good reason. He never left the ground, head on head, 10 minutes for the desperate I'm ok with. But imagine if teddy had that head clash .. it would of been bigger than the underarm.
