You’re telling me that the restroom signs we see everywhere is a Japanese invention?!😮
Shout out to the guy who asked about the Scotsman wearing kilts. Way to stop Murphy's Law from being an issue.
"What if scottish people come wearing kilts," screams the man wearing a kimono.
The day after the deadline.... Designer: "Wait, what about a colorblind Scottish man in a kilt?!"
It is interesting, from a design standpoint, that the colour ended up being the most important part of the pictograms rather than the shape.
Public bath houses make so much more sense now, they too have the red and blue curtain thing
The moment he showed the design, my first thought was "but if a Scottish person were to-" and then they brought out colours 😂😂
TIL the ‘horns’ on top of shrines are cut different depending on the gender of the god 🤔😅
Someone out there trolled a bunch of japanese people and called it an experiment
At least red isn't for blood
Years ago I left an Outback restroom to see an Asian man looking at "blokes" and "sheilas," about to panic. The relief when he saw me leave the women's room😂
People say the UN is useless, but even if it was only for the standardization of civil and chemical pictograms, we owe them a whole lot
Always wondered where the pictograms came from, and its from Japan panicking to be hospitable thats so Japan.
“The designers watched a SHIMANE TON and recognized a certain pattern.” He said calmly.
When finding the restroom becomes an Olympic sport... Category: Local Oji-sans. 🏃♂️💨😆
The fact they included Scots is so phenomenal
I love your facial expressions throughout this! Good laughs! 😂
please do a book on the history of Japanese design choices. this is so interesting to me
I love the inside joke of using Shimane as a curse word substitute 😂
What if they were colorblind and from Scotland?😂
