Toyota's new corporate slogan: Yesterday's Products, Tomorrow's Prices.
The Japanese seem to be falling behind significantly in interior designs. Mix that with cheap materials and lack of tech, this isn't the best deal for what you're paying for.
55k for a Rav 4 is insane.
This is the Ned Flanders of cars.
Question is, is this version security system been fixed so thieves cant easily hack and steal them?
$55k before drive away and no 360 camera is just ridiculous
I'm confused. The conclusion is "it's pretty hard to fault" but we have a 22mins worth of a review that identifies more than a few issues. It seems Youi aren't the only ones paying for ads..
Using hard plastic across the top of the dash, using a chassis and engine (detuned) from the previous generation means the car is already 5+ years old for 50k. Getting 15w charge ports is insane at this price and proudly displaying it above the charge port will do no favours. The way the rear lifted under emergency braking is insane, imagine turning to avoid something and the back is up like that, is it gonna tip over? The Chinese are coming and I seriously think the bigT has gone waaay to conservative against the coming onslaught. Just look at the new HiLux...same recipe of old chassis, engine etc. Lift your game Toyota.
I loved My Rav4 when I bought it new in 2021, and ended up selling it to my dad last year rather than trade it. When I bought it 5 years ago it was definitely the best car in its segment you could buy for the money, and the model I purchased cost me about 45k at the time. But today, the same AWD model costs over $15,000 more. For that sort of money, there are superior EV options on the market these days that will suit most of the use cases for this vehicle - and that's what I've now done.
Sending you off the road twice, how is that a safety feature? And then sending you through menus using the left hand, trying to touch a screen to turn it all off whilst driving. WTF? Thats a massive NO from me! Having to press one physical button to turn it off is bad enough! It should at least "remember" the last setting! I'm due for a new car and the Rav4 was top of my list (before actually driving one, I admit), but now, pfffft, I'll need to take the test drive much more seriously! What a shocker!
“Poxy” sound system 😂😂 Haven’t heard that in ages.
I’d buy a Model Y.
I like how distraction software beeps at you and displays a distraction warning….that prolongs the distraction….
nothing wrong with the car, it's just for that price, there're so many better cars to choose from.
this car has no features unless you spend 60k on the Cruiser model. No 360 camera system, heated seats or sunroof unless you buy the top spec. This is unacceptable when every brand offers these features for much cheaper
1. The new RAV struggles when accelerating and is noisy. 2 Cabin as always looks so cheap. 3. The square Infotainment system and speakers are sad. Back row seats have less thigh support. Over Priced. Good thing, they are giving you 5 wheels. I hope CarExperts use some other sponsor than the current one, rest is to be understood.
With the amount of sped cameras in Aus it’s wild that cars don’t all have a heads up display!
I have a RAV4 hybrid cruiser and Camry SL hybrid. Recently got a Zeekr 7x performance on lease for work....China is at least a generation ahead... performance, technology, quality, value. Let's go Toyota, evolve or get left behind.
If your goal is to save money, do yourself a favor and get a Haval H6. Or a Xtrail, cx5 or whatever. You'll save over $20k to put straight into your offset account, a base H6 gives you way more features than a RAV4 GX anyway. Of course, some fan boys they'd still buy the RAV4 even if thegx is priced at $65k. Cue the inevitable 'H6 is a Temu car' and 'Toyotas last forever' comments xD
