I'd rather buy an older vehicle and pay to have it brought back to like new specs than buy some later model POS that electronic parts can't even be gotten for.

I also have a ‘17 with the coyote. Received the recall letter last month - no fix. They will try to fix with software not parts. Quicker and CHEAPER!!!

The real fix is to not buy a Ford or GM. The last American truck makers and they traded their reputation for higher profit.

I have a 1984 F-150, 302ci. 282,904 mi. A key opens the door, a key starts it. I put it in drive and it runs all the day and night until I turn it off. There’s not a single sensor, video screen or computer that can disable my truck. Ah… the good ole days, and I’m still livin’ them ! 😂

I had to replace it on my 2016 Transit 250 just out of warranty. Pretty scary when it downshifts on its own at highway speed. Also starts from stop in 3rd gear. $2,500 repair.

My 2012 f150 with the 5 litre doesn't have nearly the amount of problems the newer ones do

You’d think they would have engineered a second, redundant, speed sensor, somewhere accessible, and take readings from both.

I just got the notice from Ford for that issue but it said there was no current solution for the issue yet.
