This is the perfect example of how to check bald tires 😜🀣 #carguy #funny #carculture

Autos and Vehicles

This dude might’ve just created the funniest tire health tutorial on the internet πŸ˜‚ In this video, he’s using a tread depth measuring tool to check how healthy a tire is. First he shows a normal tire with proper tread depth, meaning it still has enough grip for braking, cornering, and driving safely in the rain. Then he checks a completely bald tire with almost no tread left.. and after that he jokingly compares it to his own bald head Funny part aside, tire health actually matters way more than people think. Worn out tires can reduce grip, increase braking distance, make hydroplaning much more dangerous, and even lead to blowouts at high speeds. A lot of people ignore their tires until the car suddenly loses traction when they need it the most. And honestly.. if your tire starts looking as smooth as his head, it might be time to replace it Would you guys check your tires like this too? πŸ€”πŸ’ (Media: @mikesgaragemtl/IG) #cars #carculture #mechanic #tires #automotive #funny #hydraculture

hey micheal you should probably learn how to use that tread depth meter correctly. Maybe put it in the center of the tread where its supposed to be measured

In Canada we have a trick with our nickels. If you stick one in the tread and you can see the log the beaver is sitting on, it's time to change your tires

looks like the customer had a blowout while already riding on 0/32 tread, but only opted to buy one tire even still just to replace the only one that TECHNICALLY doesn’t work. cheap mfs and terrible car owners.

unless you just blew one tire off a good set, you replace the entire set. As an Icelander if i see this on the road i'm throwing hands. Driving on these is negligent homicide.

I learned how to do this when I worked for Enterprise. The customers would be like yeah, yeah check em, I ain't ridin on no bald tires. πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…Um sir, thats a liability and I don't have the energy for you. BUT if you pay for the vehicle protection, we can leave em as is and in case you crash, you won't have to pay for it. πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Back when I was in car sales I had this girl that came in to buy her first car (rather than the dangermobile her ex father left her, dude ruined the family and took basically everything but this piece of junk) It's tires were entirely bald but also worn through on the sides and when we were talking she got her hand cut on the tire not knowing what's inside can be sharp... it's power steering was gone and the ac was blown and i live in a desert... anyways was never happier with a sale. I'd take a mini to help somebody like that any day. And treating your customers well actually brings them and others to you. Our dealership lost money getting her a car but when her mom came and bought and two of her moms friends one of their friends and their son who just turned 16 needed a car they all came back. Tldr treat your clients well instead of screwing them over and it pays.

I love how the US keeps telling themselves that "13 32nds of an inch" is an acceptable measurement of anything.

You have to put it in the groove thats why your getting zero. Get some chalk and rub it across so you can see where the grooves are. Hope this helps!
