In the first game I only killed leviathans after I finished the story, I just grappled to it with the prawn suit and drilled it to death. Since we were just a random person surviving they are waiting for help to arrive It didn't feel right to go John wick on everything. In this game now that we are literally one of the last of humanity alive and should be killing stuff that is a serious threat to us ,or whatever colony we might eventually set up if we can find the colonist souls or whatever that was, we can't..... Peak game development decisions right there.
