Honestly, the game isnt for me, but even if it isnt the type of game for me, I can absoloutly appreciate how much love the devs put into this game and how they clearly appreciate their community Edit: I have actually tried the game, its free on game pass and I gave it a shot before coming to my decision. Single player Rpg has never been a big genre for me in the first place but I still gave it the old college try. Got about as far as beating 9-torg and 5-torg, getting back, and then setting off for my second bounty before deciding there were other game si would rather be playing XD.

I honestly thought the game was gonna give the player shit for speedrunning, but it's so supportive

this is what happens when people who love and appreciate video games make a game, they put little details in that make it feel so much more personal. it’s so cool to see something like this

Self-aware game: Are you speedrunning? Cool. I hope you get a world record. Also self-aware game: You can't go here yet, you have to play it normally.

Lot of devs love seeing players speedrun their games. It's a great way to learn how mechanics are bypassed. Plus, they realize speedrunners are the most dedicated players of a game, so it's cool to see little easter eggs like this.

I was 100% expecting to hear the game giving the player absolute shit for trying to speedrun, instead I got the exact opposite which was the game actually being entirely wholesome and supportive and I absolutely love it

If you use the jet pack to jump on the invisible barrier just above where your supposed to walk into the store it’ll also say this

It's nice to know that the Dev team supports speedrunning. It's just really sweet to see this since most developers patch the game to make it harder. Now that's the kind of positivity you need between game makers and players, where you both can have fun with it

This game is full of humour and is so self aware. This is the sort of game that should be praised

I know the humor isn't for everybody but I appreciate all the little details and care that went into the game, it feels like they had a lot of fun making it.

While playing I felt like the best way to describe the feel of the game is something you played as a kid and no matter what age you are, you love it. And when you play years later you remember all the amazing little details. Like I’m 23 and played for the first time. I hope when I’m 40+ I get my hands on this game again because it’ll be so fun to replay

The amount of small details in this game are incredible, whether its you the player doing something you shouldn't or finding something or just a completely hidden little item/npc. Makes me wanna go back and replay it.

This seems like the kind of game that would acknowledge it if you were doing things unusually fast.

Sonic Colors Ultimate did something sorta similar in concept. The devs actually preserved the old skips, and added a thing where (if you have the "Navigator" feature turned on so that you can hear the Tails voice clips) Tails will express confusion if the game winds up loading a segment that isn't connected to the one you were just in, and also get a little concerned if you straight-up go out-of-bounds (such as using a trick to keep 3D controls active in a 2D section).
