Thank you NHS for doing their absolute best for trying to correct these horrors.
For context, I took part in this interview in 2018 to warn others, not to dramatise my past. As with many TV productions, elements of my personal life were included to add weight. Hair loss and cosmetic decisions can have a real psychological impact, especially when made young or without proper guidance. My aim has always been education and helping others avoid the mistakes I made. Aside from corrective hair procedures following a poor decision at 23, I’ve not had any other cosmetic surgery.
Even wealthy celebrities have had major mistakes through cosmetic surgery
There is a MENTAL HEALTH aspect to people who have an ADDICTION or OBSESSION with CHASING 'perfection' 🤦♀️💔
So tired of hearing that people are looking for perfect this and perfect that. There’s no such thing as perfection
I stopped beauty trends when I almost lost my eye to eyelash glue. People should be happy with the beauty they have.
I work in a nursing home. We had a patient admitted who had undergone cosmetic tattooing when she was 40. Now she was 75. Black eyebrows, black eyeliner and bright red lip liner are quite startling when combined with snow white hair.
It's amazing how this medical knowledge has gone from helping the brutally mangled soldiers of WWI & WW2 where cosmetic and reconstructive surgery really began in a big way, and now it's mostly for vanity. So many medically necessary and therapeutic procedures are a godsend for those who need them.
If people would work on their insides, morals and character, like they do their outside, we would have a better world.
It would be a wonderful world if we could all be happy with whom we are.
My mom was killed while having liposuction from the doctor being incompetent. He is still practicing after being sued. Do not get unnecessary surgeries.
I had two things done, both super successful. I had my breasts reduced when I was in my twenties by a top notch surgeon and then a neck lift seven years ago. Both were excellent and made me feel a lot better and I have no regrets.
Moral of the story... Love yourself the way you are born!!
Best lines "his hair looked like world war one" and " my face looked like the Micheline guy"😂😂😂
I thought I was stupid, till I see what people do to their body 😢
12:26 A woman's lip artery has been injected with filler by a *beautician* and instead of treating her and trying to prevent gangrene, the *medical* doctors send her back to the same unqualified person that did this to her? If she was in the states, that would be an immediate malpractice lawsuit if anything happens.
Being someone who was involved in a serious car accident at 13 years of age and going through the windscreen of it car i cannot understand how people ,adults go through these procedures without realising its major surgery or dangerous. I endured seriously facial scarring and blindness in one eye and had many operations as a result, but that was necessary to try and regain some normality to my face, i certainly would never have any of these procedures done for vanity because its dangerous. Im grateful to have managed to have my scarring heal and operated on over many years . Please think seriously about having anything done to your body i know how devastating it is to loose your identity in an accident but to go and have procedures done by people who have no proper training would devastate a person and all self inflicted.
I am 62, fat and have cellulite all over. I love my body. It has done amazing things. Saved lives, birthed children, run races. Stayed up all night with sick family. Just love yourself 😊
The poor lady who had her breasts reduced, it's so valid to want to rid yourself of chronic neck and back pain and she was so badly treated. Not only were her breasts completely wrong and too high, she also had such awful scarring. All of that because she simply didn't want to be in pain. Must be awful to go through such a thing.
Such empathy for you all. When i was 60 my eyebrows turned faded grey. As a St George city girl i lucked out . Microblading was fairly new at the time but i lucked out. I searched online, read the positive reviews but still went to meet her in person. She was an RN, had a very sterile and clean process and they were beautiful for 2 yrs as promised. I've never got them redone as she quit doing these and after hearing stories like these, i just paint them on each morning. So sorry to those of you that especially had necessary procedures, even if experiencing lack of body confidence. Prayers for the victims and for asking those seeking vanity only surgeries to pray for themselves 😂 🙏 My beautiful 39 year old daughter struggled with back pain, ill fitting clothes and was so self conscious of how large they were as compared with her tiny body. She had a beautiful breast reduction and was so happy with everything. Sadly, she passed away unexpectedly from non related issues. I have that special memory of her happiness in those last months. She could actually wear modest clothes and enjoy 8 months of no back pain. ❤😇
