Steve, I bet your heart was pounding. Great view you had and a lot of work on your part to get shots *and* video of all the action...nice work!
Inspiring videos & stills Steve! Thanks for posting!
i gotta think that there must be plenty moose out there with one eye ( or less)...these guys are playing around, in heated battle its so much more aggressive and fast...
I have only had one very brief encounter with a moose on the road. It went back up the mountain, just as I got my camera out. This gave me a wonderful taste of what I have been missing. Thank you for enduring the wind, the cold and the snow to share it.
Curious as to why the joisting that is well after the rut???
Real nice Steve love the weather really makes shots.
Now that's really amazing photography.
Very different then your usual videos. Initially it was “where’s Steve?”. But after a bit I appreciated the style and felt like I was out there in the snow & wind. Cool change of pace.
So very cool! What an amazing area, and incredible animals. Thank you for sharing.
What a great experience! Love the video the winds and antlers clacking your photos turned out great
Steve I'm signed up for one of your Bull Moose workshops in December and I couldn't be more excited. Thank you for sharing this with us!!!
Spellbinding video and Images.
I`m getting frostbite just from watching! Great Video.
Great stuff Steve, I love your use of both the weather and sound to tell the story. These are my favorite type of YouTube video, as I enjoyed seeing the action as well as the compositions you chose to share as stills. I was in the Tetons starting on 12/4 and this must have been the snowfall that coated the sage by the time I was able to start shooting... as always, I enjoy your work.
Another great video - movie and stills. Recognized several of the guys still just hanging out with the boys. Haven’t noticed something on the edge of a couple of their eyelids before. Any idea what they are?
My first trip was very late September early October 2025 and I slept in the back of my truck at the campground. I definitely got my share of moose sightings. More moose than elk. I’m not sure I could pull that off in December but it would be exciting to be there !
awesome. Bucket list experience.
Very nice. Did Hoback survive another season? Didn’t see any drooping tines.
Excellent captures! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic, absolutely fantastic.
