Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Billy Idol took the stage following an emotional speech, calling the honor ‘an incredible cap to the year.’ The star-studded special also featured a Black Eyed Peas reunion and a Pussycat Dolls performance, celebrating the group’s 20th anniversary with a hits medley. BTS made a triumphant return after four years away, opening the show with a pre-recorded performance of ‘Hooligan,’ filmed during the group’s Las Vegas tour stop over the weekend. The performance marked BTS’ first American awards show appearance since completing military service in Korea.
