I've had 3 steam decks. A 512GB LCD for $649 at launch. A 1TB special edition OLED for $678 and I bought a 1TB oled to pay back a friend in October 2025 for $649. I felt $649 was pushing it last year for such old hardware. $950 is bat shit crazy. I was looking forward to picking up a steam machine and a steam frame but if it's going to be $900+ for either I'm pretty sure I'm out and valve probably should be too
So the steam deck 1tb coast more then a PS5 pro which has 2tb and more ram. How does that make any sense?

In October my legion go s z1 extreme was 650 now it’s 1600. Hard to see hand helds being around much longer at this price.
Inside Games, I wrote a comment on a video of a Steam fanboy a month before this news. He was praising Gabe Newell a lot, and said that Sony and Nintendo are greedy, and also said that Steam looks out for the consumer or the player. I told him that we are in a RAM crisis, don't praise Gabe Newell too much or things will get worse, and here things have gotten worse from Steam itself and officially.
So much for the steam machine being around $700 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
