We just got a new video from notable gaming journalist, Jason Schreier, talking about the Death of Destiny. I was pinged by multiple people about this, and I'm expecting the worst, but lets give it a watch... ★ SUB UP and join the FalloutFam: https://goo.gl/pSrt3D ★ ★ Want an extra way to support? https://patreon.com/falloutplays ★ Shoutout to the LONG-BARREL Patreons, of which there is only ONE: MEL!!! ★ MY GAMING SETUP ★ Sure SM7B Microphone - https://amzn.to/2QtbiAT Blue Boom Arm - https://amzn.to/3lC6epa Elgato Key Light - https://amzn.to/393ES6m Logitech BRIO Webcam - https://amzn.to/3lGwJK7 Elgato Stream Deck - https://amzn.to/3lAESjr UPLIFT Standing Desk - https://amzn.to/3lAuwQk Elgato Capture Card (HD60 Pro1080) - https://amzn.to/2QtkJjN Mouse (Logitech G502) - https://amzn.to/3vIDeRv ★ REACH OUT TO ME, YO ★ FOLLOW ME on Twitch! https://www.twitch.tv/falloutplays SUBSCRIBE to my channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMlqYSFcNTrxDQO_T9GCsjg?sub_confirmation=1 Follow me on TWITTER: https://twitter.com/falloutplays Join our DISCORD CHAT: https://discord.gg/falloutplays New FACEBOOK Page: https://www.facebook.com/Fallout-Plays-107863573942772/?view_public_for=107863573942772 ★ SWEET MERCH ★ TeeSpring! https://teespring.com/stores/falloutplays

The saddest part about Destiny ending is in about 5 years nobody will know how pellet spread on a shotgun works.
On the bright side, for all future new players. It can't get any more complicated
My son was born in 2014, and I went through crazy changes in my own career up until 2019. Still managed to keep a Destiny addiction up until the Sunsetting announcement.
A lot of us millennials wanted to work in the video games industry. Remember getting blasted with all those universities and trade school commercials growing up? They were everywhere.
I teach at a 2-year college and have a colleague who left the video game industry and went into teaching. According to him it does suck. He’s often told me he now makes less but “you can’t place a price on sleeping”.
I can see myself being 35 and hearing the destiny theme music come on at some convention or showcase and losing my mind. I pray for that one day
There were only two key moments in D2s life that a D3 announcement would have been appropriate. 1. Release of Beyond Light. I feel like thats when development of marathon roughly started. They got D2s engine upgraded and were done with a big thing so they could move onto something bigger. 2. Release of Final Shape. Need i say anything else? Its the end of light and darkness saga, something that ran for like 10 years. Let it end with a bang. To announce a D3 now would be nice but a bit strange. If a D3 was announced at the two abovementioned points in time, the hype would have been immense. But now, not so much.
There is no other game that I've played that can take 6 random people and give them the experience of doing a raid together. It was a life changing experience for me in VOG. I knew nothing about it, randomly asked people in the tower if they wanted to try it and we came up with a team of 6. After over 12 hrs and 5am in the morning we beat it. Life would never be the same again. I've been chasing that feeling since.
I was really hoping the answer was going to be something like trend-chasing or some other easily hated villain. Finding out it's just the massive coiling monstrosity of Capitalism-says-number-go-up and that it won't be solved in my lifetime is some weapons-grade sadness. It's not that there's slim hope for Destiny 3, it's that there's no hope because video games like that just don't get made anymore. 😢
RIP. Hopefully something set in this universe comes again in the future 😢
Remember when Luke Smith said it takes 3 weeks just to move a chest a couple inches? Yeah, its no surprise this engine is terrible difficult to work with
19:24 to answer chat, rising is developed by net ease, not by bungie

There's something poignant about imagining buying the Destiny IP and making a community - run game. "The best bet I ever...lost."
I wasn't ready for Destiny's death 😭😭😭😭
24:20 need to clip this “no” and use it as a response meme now 😂
My then-girlfriend/now-wife also shared a studio in Harlem! We just bought a house in NJ together.
There was a time when the Bungie execs would tell us that it was ok to take a break from Destiny to go enjoy other games, then come back in a few months when new content dropped. That was peak Destiny in my view, carefully crafted content, no artificially forced grind, no FOMO. But then they went the opposite way and made the game into a FOMO fueled full-time job, progressively worse for newcomers or returning players.
I'm not even mad no more, after taking a step back and thinking about it 2 things standout he worst. 1. Bungie can't make a deadline to save anything; everything was getting delayed. 2. After Activision and during beyond light, the level of mismanaged of money was so bad I don't think people are talking about it enough. And they did say Sony buying them was helping them. 3. Edge of Fate hurt them more then Marathon.
