Had a show where my scene partner lifted me and spun me and my feet hit a breakable on the coffee table. We missed it, and I had to lunge off the couch to get it off the table. Got an award for it at the end of the year.

Whenever they improvise this quickly, Im always reminded of those blooper clips that made the final cut in movies, like Captain Sparrow falling down the stairs or Tony offering Steve a blueberry 🤣🤣

NOISES OFF MENTION FINALLY BEIESJVDOSNS MY FAVOURITE PLAY EVER I’ve seen so many “play goes wrong” compilations and this is the first time I’ve seen Noises Off in one I’m so excited cuz like it’s a play where shit goes wrong but that also makes for so many opportunities for shit to ACTUALLY go wrong and cast to improv to play it off as intentional (like when I did it, Garry accidentally punched a hole in the paper wall in act 1 so backstage we scrambled to get me a roll of tape so when I (Tim) came in to fix the doors Lloyd improvised telling me to fix the wall as well. Then in act 3 when “Roger” (Garry) pulled out the door handle, he dropped it and it fell off the platform and he and “Mrs Clackett” (Dotty) improvised a whole dialogue playing further on the “Mrs Crockett”-“Mrs Spratchett”-name-bit while Garry walked downstairs and Dotty passed him the handle.)

That bed breaking reminds me of when I did a musical where we made two first and second floor room sections on castors which we found out had been secured with only quarter inch screws because the actors that had helped us build them didn’t realize what screws to use. There were so many of the castors getting crushed under the weight of it and then making it hard to move quick enough for scene changes. We had to find a way to safely tip them over on their sides (they were horribly heavy and we needed literally everyone to try to do it without it crushing us) so we could remove all of the castors and screw them back in with longer screws.

I would have broken character and said, "I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen, that wasn't supposed to happen."
