If you turn off grid then you can place that wall exactly where you want so it lines up with other buildings around
you can turn off the wall grid entirely!!! idk if you did it with the alt grid on purpose but I definitely makes it easier without any grid at all
For the price of one Sims 4 expansion you get an amazing game with all future updates being free. I'm obsessed with the build mode!!
You can increase wall thickness to hide clipping!
Heads up! If you build on this lot, turn the grid off completely to build your walls! There seems to be the same bug for some players that I experienced (walls not creating rooms or connecting properly and disappearing floors with stairs) but not for everyone. Hope this helps, save regularly :)
I don't know if you figured it out or not, but you can change the writing on the welcome mats to whatever you want ❤
About the lights, if I'm not mistaken, you can diminish the brightness and even change the color in edit and then in the color wheel of the lamp go in "bulb"

The white door you used inside was an exterior door, theres a tab for interior doors!

13:03 increasing the thickness of the external walls helps with clipping and doesn’t take much from your internal space!
Disabling the grid and building without it is ideal in situations such as this

You can change the size and the height of the doors with the "advanced transform tool", thats one of the best features
You can change the size of doors as well, if you go to the detail settings by clicking the three doors, toggle advanced transform tool. It'll allow you to move the objects, but also make them skinnier, larger, wider, etc
