What I’m looking forward to with France’s attack is Madrid supporters actually realizing what one of the biggest problems actually is at the club. All the constant criticism of Mbappe at Madrid misses something very obvious. Mbappe not only has 56 goals in 96 appearances for France (2 off the all time record) but he also already has the most assists in French national team history with 40 of them by only age 27. A lot of the time for Madrid it looks like Mbappe is just popping up in random spots on the pitch for no rhyme or reason. The reality is he wants to play across the entire forward line and the 10 position throughout matches. With France he’s able to do precisely that. Because the likes of him, Dembele, Olise, Cherki, Barcola, Doue, etc are all comfortable doing just that. Where they constantly interchange positions and make it very difficult for opponents to track them. What’s missing at Madrid is a right winger and 10 player who are capable of doing that. Which is why I find all the constant criticism of Mbappe and Vini quite funny. Because it’s ignoring the profile of players they are playing with at Madrid. And how it can actually very much work for them at Madrid with the right profile of players complimenting them on the RW and 10 positions.

I will never understand why no one understands having big names does not mean you’ll win anything. Watch psg years ago or Real Madrid now. It’s about how a team plays together and the two teams that have the chemistry are Spain and Argentina. France has a bunch of great players that will be playing for themselves.
I'm French and for me there is a big difference between having the best french amount of talents in attack, and having the best French team ever ! 1- The defensive midfield of France is far away from Spain and Portugal and from France 2018, 2006 and 1998. Our goalkeeper is not as good as Barthez. Our team will be good only if our attacking players agree to defend, especially Mbappé. If so, they have a chance. Otherwise I see Spain as a much more balanced team.
