When these came out, I was working at a popular BMW shop and had the fortune of taking demos home on the weekends and wandering the Pacific northwest with them. Phenomenal bikes in just about every condition. But even giving firsthand raves of how well suited they were for the area, how easy and fun they were... the macho ADV posturing disease had already fully taken hold. What would my friends on their 12GSAs and 1190 Adventures say when I show up on this? Some aftermarket tanks and traditional shocks became available for the XChallenge and they developed a niche, but the XCountry was criminally overlooked. Nice to see it get some love.
