Adventures of Elliot Demo. The glorious answer to the “What if Square Enix Made a Classic Zelda in HD2D?” question.

Great video, and thank you for giving your perspective! I do think it would be good to mention though that there won't be 1 price, there will be 4. The 512 gb and 2 tb versions as well as their respective controller bundles. The 2 tb with the steam controller could end up being quite close to $1000 considering a 2 tb ssd is about $150 more than a 512 gb and if the bundle adds $50-75, then that puts the 2 tb steam bundle over $200. I think valve wants to satisfy two crowds, the people getting into PC gaming and those who want a console experience for their steam games. It is important to have a competitive price point with OTS systems, which it would be at the price you suggested and the increase for the bundle and ssd I did. Personally excited for valve and I hope to get one when I can afford a living room setup.

$750 for the 512GB model feels likely and I won't be surprised if it is $800. $1000 ($999) for the 2TB would line up with that.

Great video, great thoughts. I've been loving Subnautica 2, if you're willing to play something in Early Access

There could also be a Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and Steam Controller bundle that will cost well over a thousand dollars that would require a thousands separator

Valve will define success by both the "sell all the Steam Machines" as the video noted, but also, does it expand the Steam software sales. PS5 and soon PS6 live and die off the volume of consoles to create the software base. Steam Machine needs volume to get games Linux ready (tweaks, drivers, support), but as enough games work, they aren't 100% dependent. Steam's survival/growth can be influenced by a successful Steam Machine, but it won't be driven by it. How much can Steam Machine boost software sales? At most I'd say 20%. Steam deck sold well, but doesn't drive Steam software sales. But it did help drive optimization of the Steam OS.

My big hope, and ... For some reason, expectation... Is that this steam machine will allow us to play PCvr games with reasonable graphics+performance, especially if it were combined with their new vr headset Am I off the mark here?

I'll be holding off on buying a Steam Machine or the Steam Frame. I just paid my property taxes and need to build my savings back up.

I mean valve sets the embargo date could be they set it so embargo breaks at the same time the steam machine drops. But yeah you're right the steam machine will likely drop embargo and reviews will pop before the listing goes up

NerdNest has become one of my favorite channels. I also like the NerdNest with # others...lots of fun. I have a good gaming large-NUC type computer. It is only slightly less powerful than the Steam Machine specs I've seen. It runs everything in spades. I would not be the slightest bit disappointed if it ran like that.

Finally got into Warframe and have been putting a ton of hours into it as it's finally clicked for me. I've literally had an account since closed beta, and only just now finished Arc 1.

I lately finished REPLACED, it's a gorgeous 2.5D plateformer in some kind of advanced pixel art, cyberpunk spirit. It's very beautiful, cool to play and reminded me of the games I played as a teenager who started playing in 92'. The only problem I got and that got me killed a lot is the little delay I noticed when pushing buttons. I think it's integrated in the game some how, like the character takes a bit of time to react. But I recommend it 100%. 100% nostalgia!!!

I have started replaying some of my favorite retro games, and this week I picked up American McGee's Alice (the first one), and it still blew me away! Some of the stuff were really ahead of its time
