I hope ya come back to this, the updates have been pretty frequent, the flame tower is even unlocked now. The strafing run is peak though.

The mortars would probably be better suited to the backed up crowded zones where they're guaranteed to maximize their damage, then the cleanup zones are where your gunners can live. The mortars are so inaccurate that the cleanup area likely barely made use of them. Like that next to last level, those middle arms would be great mortar zones to hopefully keep them from spilling out onto the side paths.
I so would want to see more of this once the stuff is implemented !
