LBP 1 was my life for early teens.
The game I think about first for Nintendo horror games is Calling on the Wii. The Wiimote functioned as the in game flashlight, and at certain moments the Wiimote speaker would ring like a phone so you would have to put the Wiimote speaker to your ear and the ghosts would whisper in you ear.
8:11 A cool idea to go along with docking and undocking mid game - An area in the game is pitch black and you can’t see anything so your character has to pull out a camera to be able to see using the night vision mode (infrared). In order for you to do this you physically need to take the switch 2 out of the dock and hold it up like a camera and use the gyro controls to look around and the screen of the switch would be the screen of the camera.
Load screen tips were always fun. :D
I think you could mix the HD rumble with the joycon motion controls to force you to feel for something in a container. There's a ton of ideas like that we see in the Marioparty minigames that I think could work in a horror game. You could also switch up the experience between docked and undocked mode, but that also could cut a chunk of the game content for a potential Lite model. I like this mindset though for a Nintendo exclusive, even if it limits the ability to port that for future consoles.
I played Dreams a lot, never created anything. They had some really cool experience. There were a few vr museums that blew my mind. I wish there were more experiences like that. The closest thing made by a mainstream developer was the Radiohead ue5 demo
I still remember the Emio teaser.
I feel like you could make a really dope Five Nights at Freddy's style horror game built around the Switch 2 joycons
A horror game that uses the Hd rumble to detect where the enemy is at, or when they start to get closer.
MORTAL KOMBAR 9? Im not the only one who thought so!
I play games to get away from social media, it will be my worst nightmare if a game starts giving me short form content I deliberately avoid.

7:13 what would scare me is the controllers saying they arent connected at a pivotal moment despite being on. Happens to my switch 1 all the time for some reason. You might need to take them off the console and reclick them in quickly to react in game for a scary quick time event. Might suck if you drop the switch though 😅
Ed Boon needs to revolutionize the fighting genre again and film live actors fighting in a fully realistic 3D world.
Maybe a Switch horror game could make game chat popular and scary by opening gamechat during the game and messing with you. Or require you to talk to some entity using game chat.
Blooper could perhaps utilize the camera view for the switch 2 based on if the the console is docked or not. Docked would be that it's in first person view while undocked would be 3rd person. This would help give a better sense of immersion into the game itself.
o ly thing i can think of is haveibg the joycons talk to you via hd rulble
I was just thinking about Eternal Darkness in the weekend
I think as far as Nintendo horror, one of the best examples is something like Luigi's Mansion. It's not terrifying like many darker and creepier games, but it manages to stay well-lit, highly portable, and keeps the creepy vibe and constant uncertainty and jump scares ready. Mix that with things like Little Nightmares, Reanimal, Limbo, etc. and you have a pretty easy formula for horror success that works for a mobile platform like the Switch.
A really good example for a switch horror game would be like rise of night mares. It tried it's absolute best to be a horror game on the kinect.
