Big Pecks prevents defense drops because it is a translation typo and meant to be "Big Pecs", meaning the Pokemon has large chest muscles and thus uses them for great defensive aptitude.
Hello Jimothy, I believe the ability Big Pecks is referring to enormous pectoral (chest) muscles, which in fact are so large that attempts to lower their defensive support are rendered futile. I guess the thought process behind giving most legendaries pressure is that they apply a lot of mental pressure with their pressure alone. But we’re all of course a lot more terrified by Mega Rayquaza who lacks pressure but whose immense stats and delta stream terrifies anyone who comes across it.
