Jonas is trying to get so far ahead that he can skip the last stage.
Jonas ....a man of small stature and quiet demeaniure but jaysus he's a freaking monster once he gets on the mountains!
Jonas looks in fine form. I hope that he can be on Tadej's level in the Tour
Jonas obviously training for Pogi rivalry at the Tour de France
Total domination from Vingegaard So proud to be a Dane π©π°
It looks like he crushed the previous record time of the climb (KOM) by a few minutes.
Should not be surprised over Vingegaard. He had said himself that he feels nowadays fully recovered from the crash in 2024. Some people says that he don't face any competition at the Giro. But a Vingegaard at his best is such good cyclists that the superiority is not explained by lack of competition but rather a statement on how good he is. He is now 29 years old and at his peak which we will see at this year's edition of TdF. If Vingegaard can first seal the victory here at the Girot and later win at the TdF he will be historically by being the present champion of all three Grande Tours.
Funny fact: Jonas Vingegaard in the 2018 Tour de l'Avenir, after 10 stages in the general classification before he rode for Visma, was 40 minutes behind Thymen Arensman! Today, in 1 stage, he has a 1.12 minute lead over that same Arensman.
It really wasn't absolutely sensational. It was absolutely predictable.
Well done Jonas. Having a great Giro and looking in strong form πββπ
Where are the doping accusers when UAE win a stage? Like I said, they are Visma fanboys that get butthurt. ππππ
Kom sΓ₯, Bjarne!
I love Jonas, but this is on the absence of Pogi. It is a great decision by the team to do the Giro because winning will give him more confidence to face Pogi. One weakness I saw for example is the ITT, Pogi would have done much better. But overall his form looks good. Above all a race without crash is a winning race.
Itβs interesting to see Jonas healthy without the crashes of the two past seasons. He looks ready for the TDF as he is not even trying to go full gas. This year TDF will be a replay of 2023 TDF and Tadjey is also getting ready. It will be interesting to watch. Canβt wait
Vinge hasnt done much this season unlike the goat Pog. His victory here would be better respected if there was some competition from other elite riders. I also think that in Vinge can beat the likes of arensman, gall et al then what would Pog do to them
Absolutely predictable and boring.
Lots have said that Del Toro and Seixas will beat Jonas at the Tour, but it may very well turn out that he will be the closest to Tadej once again.
Vingegaard looks strong but is he strong enough to beat Pogacar in this year's TdF?
Same sensational headline every day no matter what happens.
Jonas is dominating who? Heβs the only top-level rider in the race. Heβs racing to win the Giro because he knows he will never beat Pocagar at the Tour.
