if you're gonna add coilovers on the E36 make sure you add on support material and braces for the strut towers, RTAB's, and reinforcements around most of the suspension work. the sheet metal on the E36 and E46 is notoriously weak and will pop through the strut tower like a jack in the box.

Helpful hint. Buy reinforcement plates for underside of front struts & most definitely the top of the rear strut towers.you will punch the max pogo sticks through the body of the car,they are a know weak spot,& definitely will fail with hard riding suspension. A front & rear strut brace is also another option to help support the weak metal around the strut tops.
