I also agree
Weavile is faster than sneasler and learns fake out
Garchomp I think is allowed to exist because he's kinda earned his tenure, everyone kinda knows what he does. Kingambit as well to an extent, it's honestly stretched pretty thin in terms of moves and hates Fighting-types but I think they kinda forgor how stupid Sneasler and Basculegion are. They just nerfed Dire Claw and called it a day. Nothing done about Last Respects or Unburden Sneasler. Also they need to do a better job of making sure all the Megas have a similarish "weight" when teambuilding, especially looking at the Megas from Gen 6. Rain on Charizard's parade a little, give buffs to some notable underperformers. Because in its current state, Charizardite Y and Audinite should not cost the exact same VP in the shop.
Weavile over here: am I a Joke to you!?
Personally i think itd be awesome to buff/rebalance the missing pokemon before adding them. That way we can maintain the balancing act of a lower power tier while simultaneously adressing the metagame by adjusting pokemon before adding them with the meta game in mind (like shifting BST numbers or adjusting stats/abilties to make a pokemone slightly stronger/weaker in its respective role)
Agree with the final point when you say at least 2 of these pokemon feature in most teams. I tried stubbornly avoiding them at all costs ...but it's just too much of a handicap to be consistent without them
I hope we get a fairy meta next season and they add metagross 🙏
I honestly don't mind Garchomp. I don't really find it very oppressive, it's just solid and reliable. Kinggambit, Sneasler and Basc are the real problem with their broken moves, abilities, and min-maxed stats.
I can't wait for the next format. I never got to vgc during mega so im glad I get to experience it. The lack of variety of items has been my biggest complaint personally.
I'm just happy Basculegion is singlehandedly causing Heliolisk stocks to exist. They're not even close to high but at least they're there now.
Kingambit going to unemployed when Mega Golisopod get added to the game. (Please devs don't give it Emergency Exit) 🙏
“Sneasler is the fastest fake out user in the game” mega Lopunny crying in the corner
I feel like Indeedee would help balance Basc and Gambit by a lot.
If they add useless Pokémon like ratticate, it’s also just gonna make the experience worse for recruiting Pokémon.
Champions to me has a big problem of being lacking of items. The fact that none of the Pinch berries are here yet the Oran Berry somehow IS is just...Comically dumb to me. But if we ignore that, uh...yeah, fun game.
I feel like this could have been "sustainability" choice. Given people were already freaking out about VP and limited Box Space. It could've been a concern that people wouldn't react well to having to switch up a lot of their box and train a bunch of new Pokemon, throwing away the weaker power crept Pokemon every format shift and ultimately wasting a lot of VP and time shuffling box space. Therefore they included a lot of weaker and choice Pokemon, but still includes some notable Powerhouses that'll likely last through multiple formats. I'm not sure if this is actually the case but it's a plausible reason.
Sneasler ain't the fastest fake out user tho. Weavile is.
this is kind of why i liked singles and the "tiers" personally. so it MOST of the time felt like an even playing field
What I learned from this is that we need to bring Mega Metagross, Mega Salamence, Amoonguss, and Urshifu Rapid Strike with un-nerfed Unseen Fists into Champions right this minute
they should add more items. it would at least make some pokemon currently in game a bit more useful
