this theory makes this a much better version to watch compared to the original idealism
About 7 mins in, not sure if he brings it up, but there is also the fact the Edward has been alive for so long and doesn't need to sleep, yet has no hobbies, no interests, nothing to fill the endless stretches of his existence, and no personality outside of Bella. He's not a real person, but the construct, the fantasy coping mechanism of a quiet, shy, honestly boring teen girl whos greatest desire is to receive attention and be loved for simply existing, the very scent of her, rather than having to do anything.
a genderswapped version of these movies would unironcically be a success
Soo. This actually makes twilight seem good and not just something to watch ironically
This is my comfort video now I guess.
I honestly thought this whole Twilight franchise was just Belle being a corny fanfic writer with an edgy personality.
“Nah, there’s no way that it could have all been in Bella’s head!” “Well sure it was! You was there too!”
Also - why has Noone ever questioned why Alice can see visions of Bella? NOONES POWERS CAN WORK ON HER
this is a really good theory, i allways thought it was weird when Jacob cut his hair so suddenly, this theory could indeed be real. It makes the most sense for the franchise in all .
In the last scene she shows Edward her "memories", what was going in her head all the time. And they say their final lines: "forever". And the song literally starts with the line "i have died". And this makes sense with that what if she drowned theory. Honestly, i would take it. The series is more interesting like this imo
Edward as a normal guy who just thought his lab partner stunk is so hilarious.
It's kind of ironic that a piece of media that's notoriously corny, would have one of the only examples of a valid dream theory, the most notoriously corny theory type.
Well, it explains the whole "vampires glitter in sunlight" thing...
Thinking about it, Stephanie didn't originally plan on making anymore books after twilight but was convinced to after the success of it. Maybe it all being a dream/in Bella's head was the original ending
I think this theory makes Bella's mom the villain. Bella couldn't develop depression and psychosis out of the blue after a few days in Forks. It suggests to me that Bella's mom was tired to deal with her mental illness and dumped her at her father's, that couldn't say no. That explains why Charlie was so awkward with her (he also didn't know how to help his suicidal daughter) and why Bella tried to runaway from Forks, since she never agreed to move from Phoenix at the first place. Also, I always found that the reason why Bella moved to Forks was so nonsensical: she says that her mother and stepfather wanted to "hit the road" but why didn't they wait for Bella to graduate from High-school since she had only some months left? Then she would go to college and they could travel. Why wouldn't they be able to wait just less than a year?
Could also be a fanfic of a girl seeing a guy, getting a crush on him and creating all this but being awkwardly social towards him irl but imagining him being "THAT" interested in her, seeing Jacob and them being actual friends but her envisioning, "What if he was actually hot and he and my bf fought each other for me."
I like how the cropping of the shirt by the jacket makes it look like a über-dramatic Edward x Jacob love story
Making ”it’s deep” essays about “bro it’s not that deep” topics is my new favorite genre
stopp this theory is so well explained i might never see twilight the same 😭😭😭
30:54 There is actually some evidence for this being true. Scientists studied 4 people who were dying and looked at their brains, and it showed that their brains right before they died had a burst of activity. Also the idea of living years in a coma when IRL it was only a few minutes could either be inspired by, or eventually inspire the reddit story of a man who tripped and hit is head and was knocked ouy for a few minutes in real life, but in his head he had a wife, and kids. Until he saw a lamp that quote: "It was still in 3D but... just.. wrong." Now this story is most likely not true but it still a neat thought.
