Just to clear up some confusion, in this video I am talking about the benefit of transitioning in BIG games (when the opposition appear stronger than us) Of course for other games we need to learn to take a more proactive approach
That's what Everton have done with Manchester city with the 3-3 draw the other night. City had all the possession, but Everton scored goals.
Tbh unpopular opinion... we could defo use Zirkzee as a rotational option in the UCL. Honestly an absolute baller of a player in him. Technically gifted on the ball and good at making some killer passes.
Im really starting to lose all respect for you. Counter attacking like Southgate is cool guys, trust me.
Aj you are a very balanced person ,you are someone i will like to discuss or have by my side if i do want to coach a team,i think we share alot of similar traits ,have been watching your channel for some time keep up the good work 👍
I can't take another season of Dalot as a starter. If he scores half of the 1v1s he's got this season he'll be our top goal scorer smh
Carrick is the man. Reasons: 1) Knows the club 2) Has experience working with SAF. LVG and JM. 3) He managed over 50 games a season at the championship. Think about where Middlesbrough were and not what they didn't achieve, always context. 4) His experience is helping him in big flight games. 5) He is low risk as will cost little and we already know what we'll get. He just needs players. 6) He is very adaptable and ruthless. 7) He knows how to talk to the press Bringing in a new manager will mean restarting, not knowing what to expect. Players will have to know him AGAIN! Just a road to instability. United never were a Pep ball or Enrique ball team so why force it?
So what happens when the opposition pull a reverse and concede possession and hit us on the counter instead? I remember that's what Istanbul bashkeshir did in the UCL and we lost under Ole. Leipzig also did the same and we lost too.
Man forgot about Mount...easy to do to be fair
Every team that concede possession were out in the league phase except Bodo...counter attack in UCL doesn't get you far
Counter attack agains the big teams who use high up defensive line and possession attacking football? Yeah, Carrick is a genius.. Dont get me wrong. This style works against such teams. But owning this to Carrick is another thing.. I will call Carrick genius however if he makes United the most dominant team on the field every game, pushes high up and demands possession. To control games and lay back and use transition agains every team, even at Old Trafford is not the same thing. If Slot had figured out to abandon his style of play, kick the ball constanly to Man Utd, lay back and counter attack he might even had won United because a, we are rubbish in possession controlling the game and b, with Maguire in the center back United would always be delicate against counter attacks. Which kinda showed us in the Szoboslai goal. In 2011 Ferguson went against Barcelona with his style of football. Attack. In the end he went down with it but man I was proud of him and the team going against the best football team ever have played the game attacking minded. We are Man Utd, not counter attacking f''''''' Stoke City! How about follow the blueprint for once? Wilcox came in with idea og high line, high press, dominating possession football. The culture was suppose to be just like that no matter who was the head coach. Now we are going to abondon that because the team has a momentum, few great results even tho the performance have been really questionable from time to time. When Sir Jim appointed director of football it was to create a vision, style and future as elite dominant club in europe. The blueprint. Now we are basically throwing it all away because we cant handle emotions and appointer former player fits the romantic saga many people wish becoming real for the club and Carrick. Well done. You never learn. Next season when you come online and yell Carrick out! Same as Solskjaer! Ineos are morons! ect ect i dont know how I will react. With a laugh or tears. Remember Carrick-ins fans, you are bringing it all on yourself based on a momentum. Thats not smart. Thats emotions.
GIGANTICALLY disagree - us winning matches without control is a GIANT red flag AJ it's not a good thing. Means we're relying on emotion n vibes, second it gets even a little tough that won't b there anymore n there's no system to fall back on. Getting Carrick is a HUGE mistake
Agreed. Carrick has that pedigree to snuff out results
It's not about winning the UCL let's be realistic it's about the team competing at the highest level. The squad building and gaining experience and having more games to give everyone game time. Best we can hope is not to get slapped about like Chelsea
Video idea. Difference between Carrick's ball and Ole's ball.
Yeah I think I agree. Is he gonna actually win it ? Most probably not. We are gonna need Chelsea 2011/12 luck and resilience for that to happen probably but at the same time I won't be shocked if we pulled off a few wins against the big names. Can we finish top 8? Don't know but the knockout playoffs? Yeah I do think we can do that.
Our current tactics are great to beat the big teams that like to sit up high and have possession, like Arsenal and City and the UCL teams like PSG and Bayern. If we can sign 2 midfielders and maybe a left back that's comfortable underlapping/overlapping but can also pass well, we will have the quality to also dominate teams that aren't necessarily as good, like Brighton and Bournemouth etc. If we can get a proper #6 him and the new leftback (I want Lewis Hall) would complete the current style of play. Hall and someone like Wharton would complete us as a possession team, especially against the teams that aren't as good as us.
I think more important is who we sign and how much depth we have if you look at psg, Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid and even Arsenal they all have quality players and quality backups
Zirkzee has a ucl 😅
Carrick ball is just Ole ball of the club has anything about them go get Neglismann or Poch. I’m slightly in favour of Poch because his a media darling especially here in England and has done well here too
