Probably the worst midfield performance from Gallagher tbh, no offence but sanctions need to be made for whoever is responsible for that signing

Tottenham brought de zerbi at the wrong time in my opinion they should have got a nigel pearson or sean dyche type of manager to secure them from relegation then bring de zerbi with a full season and pre season to implement his tactics

The problem is simply that the technical level of the squad is so low, the ball is like a hot potato to our players

I still think Spurs won't get relegated but still, what the hell happened to this club man

If you lack quality up front, you have to be tight at the back. If you can't defend, then you need quality up front to score goals. If you can't defend and can't score, you end up in the Championship...

No manager can save us from relegation. This has been long time in the making and the fruits of greed and pride are being harvested.

It's telling how many times lack of quality is mentioned. A lot of this is of course down to the injuries, but the squad building has also been awful for years. We have a load of stodgy number 8s and no one who can progress a ball from number 6, and only Xavi who can create anything further up (and he's new to the league and not acclimated). With no Kudus, Kulusevski or Maddison, there is no one capable of creating the chances we need to stay up.

I couldn't believe Le Bris told his forwards not to press Kinsky. Yes, I know that baiting the press is RDZ's whole thing, but in this case surely you have to press a gk who had one of the worst nightmares ever in his previous game and must have been incredibly nervous. But they left him alone with lots of time and space, and even then he fell over at one point, repeating the situation from his previous game. It just looks like a lack of flexibility - I really think if they'd just pressed him for the first 15 they would have got at least one goal out of it. They won anyway, but I think it could have been more comfortable, even though I'm pleased on a personal level for Kinsky that he looked pretty solid.

I really like your videos and I hope you continue making them. As for the Tottenham Hotspur situation, it's really painful.

So to summarize, Spurs are fighting relegation, not so much because of tactical inability, but an outright lack of player quality when it comes to line breaking passes, 1 on 1 ability, press resistance and finishing.

Remember when Spurs players got their manager sacked because he wanted them to play try hard and play defense? Yeah, you showed him boys, am I right!

I suspect De Zerbi will compromise somewhat on his ideal vision, just because of the lack of time to work with the team, and the acute situation they find themselves in. But probably not compromise enough; he'll try for something that obviously isn't going to work in these circumstances. He's very tactically astute in attacking play, but I don't think we've seen yet how much he can toughen teams up in defence (quickly!) or how good he can be as a motivator; and it's those latter two things that Spurs really need now, if they are to survive. I am suriprised that he took the job, knowing there was a strong chance it would mean Championship football next season. Is that the challenge he's actually looking forward to? (Will he even stay, if they get relegated??) Is that the scenario the Spurs owners brought him in for? At the moment, Spurs are looking the most likely - and the most deserving - to join Burnley and Wolves in the drop.
